As you know our colleges in the financial industry have during the 15Y+ years we
had with the Internet not managed to roll-out anything more secure and convenient
than a system that first requires you to fill in all the credit card details and then
adding the "password" that is printed in clear on the back of the card.
If the Web Crypto WG manages to find a method that allows you to deal with
pre-provisioned keys you have a pretty good chance revolutionizing payments.
Personally, I wouldn't settle for anything less :-)
